ST ALBANS AWAYDAY

1100 HOURS JUNE 15th 2008

Once again we are having an informal get together on the Sunday, as listed above. The purpose is to join Paul Etteridge in a short stroll around St Albans as he narrates:

THE TWO BATTLES OF ST. ALBANS

The first Wars of the Roses battle was fought in the very streets of the town and the second commenced here, before a running fight ended in slaughter at nearby Sandridge. We shall drive the few miles to the final scene of this second battle and shall then retire to a local pub, for Sunday lunch.

THERE IS NO FEE FOR THIS TRIP AND NO REGISTRATION IS NEEDED! Just turn up at the visitors centre in the town centre and enjoy a day’s company with other members.

All members and friends are invited to join Paul and Daphne Etteridge for a relaxing afternoon.
